Rabat – The Council of Government, meeting on Thursday under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, followed a presentation on the “General Guidelines for Digital Development – Morocco Digital 2030”.
Presented by the Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Ghita Mezzour, the presentation highlighted the foundations of the general guidelines of the “Morocco Digital 2030” strategy, which comes in application of the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who has called for optimal investment in the vast development opportunities offered by the digital transition, said the Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman, Mustapha Baitas, at a press briefing following the Council.
These foundations are also in line with the Royal High Directions calling for an acceleration in the pace of digitization in order to close the gap in this field and take advantage of the digital boom the world is experiencing, Baitas stresse
d, adding that Mezzour highlighted the main achievements made by the Kingdom in the digitization process.
The Minister Delegate in charge of the Digital Transition and Administration Reform also added during the presentation that the general orientations of digital development rest on two foundations, namely the digitization of public services and the impetus of a new dynamic in the digital economy with the aim of producing Moroccan digital solutions and creating added value and jobs, concluded Baitas.
