Germany Summons Russian Ambassador Over Violation of Polish Airspace

Berlin: The German Foreign Ministry announced Friday the summoning of the Russian ambassador in Berlin, against the backdrop of accusations against Moscow of violating Polish airspace with drones.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated, in a post on its official account on the (X) platform, that it decided to summon the Russian ambassador in response to what it described as an unacceptable and dangerous act by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The German Foreign Ministry affirmed the unity of the position of NATO member states regarding the protection of the alliance's territorial integrity.

Polish authorities had announced the day before yesterday, Wednesday, that drones had violated its airspace without causing any casualties, while Russia denied responsibility for the incident.
