Doha: Germany's producer prices declined for the second consecutive month in April, largely due to lower energy prices, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reported Tuesday.
According to Qatar News Agency, on an annual basis, producer prices fell by 0.9% in April, following a 0.2% drop in March. This marks the sharpest year-on-year decrease since October.
The decline was primarily due to a 6.4% drop in energy prices. In contrast, non-durable and durable consumer goods rose by 3.2% and 1.4%, respectively.
On a monthly basis, producer prices were down 0.6% in April, following a 0.7% decline in March.
