Polling stations opened their doors in Bulgaria Sunday, to vote in the general elections, the fifth in two years.
Preliminary results are expected to appear on Monday, while the elections are witnessing great competition between the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party led by Boyko Borisov and the We Continue the Change party led by Kiril Petkov.
The We Continue the Change party also participates in a joint list with the right-wing coalition Democratic Bulgaria.
Since the fall of former conservative Prime Minister Boyko Borissov after a decade in power, the various parties are having difficulty reaching coalition-building, and provisional governments are successive.
