Doha: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has welcomed Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa's announcement of a new agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), including provisions that contribute to strengthening and preserving security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity in Syria.

According to Qatar News Agency, GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi emphasized the final communiqu© issued by the Supreme Council of GCC leaders at its 46th session. The communiqu© stressed the importance of respecting Syria's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and highlighted that Syria's security and stability are fundamental pillars of regional security.

The GCC Secretary-General expressed his wishes for continued security, stability, progress, and prosperity for Syria and its people.
