GCC Secretary General Engages in Strategic Talks with German Official

Riyadh: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, held a meeting with Niels Annen, the State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation in various sectors to serve mutual interests and bolster regional and international security.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the Munich Leaders Meeting in Saudi Arabia, where both officials exchanged views on recent developments in the region. A particular focus was placed on the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip, with both sides agreeing on the urgent need for a ceasefire and the unrestricted entry of aid to address the humanitarian crisis.

Furthermore, the GCC Secretary General engaged in discussions with Javier Colomina, the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Southern Neighbourhood. Their dialogue centered on the relationship between the GCC and NATO, exploring topics of mutual interest and the mechanisms for joint cooperation between the two entities.
