GCC Secretary-General Condemns Israeli Incursion Into Gaza as Challenge to Global Community

Doha: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, strongly condemned the brutal incursion and aggression carried out by Israeli occupation forces against the Gaza Strip, denouncing in the strongest terms the horrific crimes committed against the defenseless Palestinian people.

According to Qatar News Agency, Albudaiwi noted that these acts reflect the aggressive mindset of the occupation forces and constitute a blatant challenge to the international community, its nations, and institutions.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Albudaiwi said that the repeated crimes of the Israeli occupation represent a systematic policy of exterminating and displacing the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and undermine all prospects for peace. He emphasized that these crimes constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity that cannot be justified or tolerated, and reflect an aggressive mentality based on ethnic cleansing and collective punishment.

The Secretary-General pointed out that the international community’s silence and inaction in fulfilling its responsibilities encourages the occupation to persist in its criminal practices, calling for immediate and effective international action to halt these violations and hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable before international courts.
