Doha: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Mohamed Albudaiwi has expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the continued aggressive attacks launched by Israeli settlers, under the cover of the Israeli occupation forces, against the defenseless Palestinian people, the latest of which were the heinous attacks on the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah.

According to Qatar News Agency, Albudaiwi stressed that these repeated violations represent a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian laws, and are part of a systematic policy aimed at undermining the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and imposing a fait accompli by force.

He reiterated his call on the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its legal and humanitarian responsibilities, take urgent action to put an end to these violations, provide the necessary international protection for the Palestinian people, and support all efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
