GCC Secretary-General and UN Envoy Collaborate on Syrian Support Efforts

New york: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi met with UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The meeting focused on discussing support strategies for Syria, emphasizing the improvement of humanitarian and living conditions for the Syrian population.

According to Qatar News Agency, the dialogue between Albudaiwi and Pedersen also highlighted the importance of restoring political and security stability in Syria. The discussions aimed at advancing economic recovery and promoting development as crucial steps toward supporting the Syrian people.
