Dubrovnik: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has underscored the significance of enhancing strategic cooperation and partnerships between its member states and Mediterranean countries, aiming to bolster regional security, stability, and mutual prosperity.
According to Qatar News Agency, this declaration was made during the participation of GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi in a high-level panel discussion. The event, focused on exploring cooperation prospects between Mediterranean countries and global and regional organizations, was part of the Dubrovnik Forum 2025, hosted by Croatia in Dubrovnik on July 11-12.
In his address, Albudaiwi highlighted the strategic location of GCC countries, their regional and global influence, international credibility, expanding economic power, and essential role in global energy security as key elements for building effective partnerships with Mediterranean nations. He affirmed that these attributes render the GCC a dependable and influential partner capable of contributing to efforts aimed at stability and sustainable development in the Mediterranean and beyond.
Albudaiwi also stressed the Council's commitment to fostering dialogue and cooperation with regional and international partners, serving common interests, and promoting global security and peace.
