Riyadh: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi discussed the latest developments in the region with Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue, Zhai Jun who is visiting Saudi Arabia. The discussions focused on key regional issues and the necessity for enhanced coordination.
According to Qatar News Agency, the two sides emphasized that current regional developments and challenges necessitate intensified coordination and joint consultation to maintain security and stability in the region and the world. The talks underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to address ongoing issues and foster a climate of peace.
The meeting also addressed updates regarding the China-GCC Summit scheduled for this year. Both parties are preparing for this significant event, which aims to reinforce ties and explore cooperative opportunities between China and the GCC member states.
