Gaza: The death toll from Israeli occupation's military offensive on the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,419, with at least 171,318 people injured since Oct. 7, 2023, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry issued a statement on Monday indicating that hospitals across the territory had received the bodies of seven people over the past 24 hours, five of whom were recovered from beneath rubble. Additionally, four injured individuals were admitted for treatment.
The ministry further reported that many victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings or lying in the streets, with ambulance and rescue teams unable to reach them so far.
Since a ceasefire came into effect in October, the number of people killed has risen to 442, with 1,240 others injured. During the same period, 697 bodies were recovered, according to the ministry.
The report also noted the deaths of a seven-day-old baby and a four-year-old child due to severe cold, bringing the number of child deaths linked to cold weather since the start of winter to six.
