Gaza: The Gaza Civil Defense has announced that 60% of its vehicles have stopped operating across the Strip due to a lack of sufficient fuel and spare parts for maintenance.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Civil Defense stated that the fuel provided by some humanitarian and relief organizations is limited, not exceeding 15% of daily needs. This shortage has forced crews to combine responses to certain daily tasks that do not pose a direct threat to citizens' lives, while postponing other tasks, which places the Strip on the brink of a major humanitarian disaster.
The Civil Defense had previously warned at the end of July about the potential for a complete shutdown of its vehicles in the Gaza Strip, citing the depletion of the already limited fuel available for its missions. This situation arises amid the complete closure of crossings and the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the prevention of the entry of fuel and necessary medical and humanitarian supplies.
