Full, Partial Female Memorizers Begin Tests at Sheikh Jassim Noble Qur’an Contest

Al waab: The tests for female full and partial memorizers of the Holy Qur'an have commenced at the Women's Activity Center of the Department of Dawah and Religious Guidance in the Al Waab area.

According to Qatar News Agency, these tests are part of the 30th Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Noble Qur'an Competition, organized by the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs for 1447 AH-2025 AD, with broad participation from Qatari female citizens and residents.

The tests for partial memorizers will be held for 535 Qatari female competitors across five categories-5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 Juz' of the Holy Qur'an, either from the beginning or the end, during evening sessions starting at 2:30 p.m. and continuing until Nov. 18, Awqaf said in a statement Saturday.

The female tests for full and partial memorizers feature 378 resident competitors, including 79 full memorizers and 299 partial memorizers, supervised by eight specialized female judging panels, comprising a select group of qualified examiners.

Apart from the technological updates the ministry is implementing, the Women's Activity Center has incorporated an online digital system connected to the platform to unify competitors' data across all panels.

This procedure, the statement adds, will help accomplish competitions more expediently and ensure a smooth flow of procedures, reflecting the organizing committee's keenness to upscale performance and the efficiency of operations inside the testing chambers.

In addition, the committee adopted the procedure of transferring cash rewards for female winners through bank accounts.

These rewards are allocated to the first five positions, along with special cash prizes for competitors with exceptional recitation voices, evaluated according to meticulously learned measurements by the committee, in an embodiment of Awqaf's mission to preserve the Holy Qur'an, propagate Islamic culture, and bolster engagement in memorization and Tajweed.

This competition embodies Awqaf's vision of promoting the culture of Islamic religion among community members and nurturing a well-aware generation profoundly connected with the ethics of the Holy Qur'an, contributing to the advancement of the community and humanity.
