Paris: The Foreign Ministers of Germany, France, and Britain have jointly urged the Israeli entity to facilitate the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need for compliance with international law.
According to Qatar News Agency, the European ministers issued a joint statement on Wednesday, stating, "Humanitarian aid must never be used as a political tool and Palestinian territory must not be reduced nor subjected to any demographic change." They further called for a return to ceasefire conditions and urged Hamas to release all remaining hostages promptly.
The Israeli occupation authorities have obstructed the entry of humanitarian aid and commercial supplies into Gaza since the first phase of the ceasefire agreement ended in early March. This blockade has resulted in a severe shortage of essential supplies in the region.
The ongoing blockade by Israeli authorities has left approximately 2.4 million Palestinians homeless, following the destruction of their homes during what has been described as a war of genocide. The situation has been exacerbated by the continued closure of border crossings and the halt in aid deliveries, which resumed following the renewed aggression on March 18, 2025. This has led to a state of famine in Gaza, despite international and UN warnings of a worsening humanitarian crisis.
