Paris: French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot confirmed on Friday that talks between Iran and European powers regarding the Iranian nuclear program will be held next week.

According to Qatar News Agency, Barrot noted via his X account that he had an important call with his colleagues David Lamy, the German Foreign Minister, and EU High Representative Kaya Kallas, as well as his Iranian counterpart. The discussions focused on the Iranian nuclear program and the sanctions that European countries are preparing to reimpose on Iran.

Earlier Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi engaged in a phone call with the foreign ministers of France, Britain, and Germany, in addition to EU High Representative Kaya Kallas. The dialogue centered on developments in the Iranian nuclear file and the "snapback" mechanism.
