Fourth Edition of Madinah Book Fair Kicks Off

Madinah: The fourth edition of Madinah Book Fair 2025 kicked off on Tuesday, organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission of Saudi Arabia. The event runs until Aug. 4 and features participation from over 300 Arab and international publishing houses and agencies, spread across more than 200 exhibition booths at the fair venue behind the King Salman International Conference and Exhibition Center.

According to Qatar News Agency, the fair offers visitors a rich and diverse cultural experience, covering a wide range of specialized topics that reflect cultural dynamism of the Kingdom. It caters to various audiences through an extensive collection of new releases in literature, knowledge, and science. The fair also presents a comprehensive cultural program including panel discussions, seminars, workshops, and literary and poetry evenings, featuring prominent intellectuals and experts. A dedicated book-signing area allows visitors to meet authors and explore their literary and intellectual journeys up close.

A fully interactive children's area is also featured at the fair, with six main sections offering educational and skill-building activities, creative workshops, and culturally enriching programs that combine entertainment with literature. These aim to instill knowledge-based values and encourage children to read and learn. The fair also hosts a daily theater for storytelling and plays, along with two waiting areas designed for children's comfort in a safe and engaging environment.

The Madinah Book Fair is the second stop in the 2025 series of fairs organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, following Jazan Book Fair held in February. It continues to offer an integrated cultural experience that celebrates books and reinforces Madinah's status on the national cultural map.
