Nablus: Four people were injured by live ammunition on Thursday during an Israeli forces raid on Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
According to Qatar News Agency, Director of Emergency and Ambulance Center at the Palestinian Red Crescent in Nablus, Ameed Ahmed, stated that paramedics treated a 15-year-old boy who was shot in the knee and a 21-year-old man who was shot in the foot. Two other children suffered fractures after being assaulted by Israeli forces.
Security sources also confirmed that Israeli forces arrested two brothers during the raid and besieged a house in the camp, while deploying additional military reinforcements.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces also raided the city of Bethlehem and the town of Beit Fajjar, where they were seen stationed in several neighborhoods without any reported arrests. They also stormed the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah, and took positions on the rooftops of homes, with no reported clashes or arrests.
Arrests have significantly escalated since the start of the war on Gaza in October 2023, as part of a broader policy of collective punishment against Palestinians in the West Bank.
