Salzburg: Five skiers have died in two avalanches in central Austria.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Salzburg Mountain Rescue reported that seven people were buried by an avalanche this afternoon on the 2,150-meter summit of Mount Finsterkopf, located in the state of Salzburg. The incident resulted in five deaths, while the others sustained injuries.

In recent years, Austria has recorded an average of approximately 20 avalanche-related fatalities annually.
