Doha: The Attorneys' Admission Committee convened under the leadership of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, at its permanent headquarters in the Ministry of Justice building, to address items on its agenda.
According to Qatar News Agency, the primary focus of the meeting was the formal swearing-in of five new lawyers before the committee. These individuals have now been added to the list of practicing lawyers after successfully completing their training period at the Legal and Judicial Studies Center of the Ministry of Justice and receiving practical experience at Qatari law firms.
Additionally, the committee evaluated applications for the registration of several professionals as practicing lawyers, processed the re-registration of two lawyers, approved applications for new trainee lawyers, and facilitated the transfer of a lawyer's registration to the list of those practicing before the Court of Appeal.
The committee also addressed various procedural matters and regulatory controls related to the legal profession, examining minutes from subcommittees and making decisions as necessary.
During the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, congratulated the newly sworn-in lawyers. He emphasized the committee's dedication to providing an environment that supports both new and practicing lawyers in fulfilling their responsibilities to serve society and strengthen the legal and judicial system in the State of Qatar.
