Deauville: “First Look”, owned by Wathnan Racing, stormed to victory in the Prix Gontaut-Biron Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes (Group 3) for 4-year-old thoroughbreds over 2,000 meters at Deauville Racecourse, France, with trainer Andre Fabre and jockey James Doyle at the helm.
According to Qatar News Agency, “Goliath” chased hard to finish second, “Caliph” claimed third, and “Wood Check- Birch Wood” lagged behind. The win marked First Look’s second straight triumph, following a commanding 1800-meter victory at Clairefontaine earlier this month. This victory secured its first Group race title and signals a rise toward bigger victories.
The race began with an electric start as First Look surged to the front, seized control, and set a steady, commanding pace through the early and middle stages, leaving the rest of the field trailing.
