Fifth Pediatric Stem Cell Conference Commences in Kuwait

Kuwait city: The fifth Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant, Cellular, and Gene Therapy Conference commenced on Monday, gathering international and regional experts in Kuwait. The two-day event serves as a strategic platform for sharing research and developments in stem cell transplantation, cellular therapy, and gene therapy, focusing on enhancing patient outcomes and quality of life through the integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical applications.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conference features over 40 professional lectures by more than 35 global and regional speakers from leading reference centers and hospitals across Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom, and GCC states. Topics include advancements in CAR-T therapy for children, production of T-cell immunotherapies, cellular treatments, innovations in gene therapy for genetic and immune disorders, stem cell transplantation strategies for non-malignant conditions, and management of post-transplant complications.

The event also includes specialized practical workshops aimed at developing skills, transferring expertise, and enhancing diagnostic capabilities and pediatric medical simulation. Stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy are advanced medical procedures that replace damaged or diseased cells with healthy stem cells to treat hematological disorders, immune system disorders, and certain degenerative diseases.
