Doha: The Local Organizing Committee of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 has announced that Qatar is fully prepared to host the tournament, which will kick off on November 3 and continue until November 27. Director of Transportation and Mobility at the Local Organizing Committee, Eng. Abdulaziz Fakhroo, confirmed Qatar's readiness to host the event, the first of five consecutive editions the country will organize through 2029.
According to Qatar News Agency, Fakhroo, speaking at a press conference held at the conference hall of Al Aziziyah Boutique Hotel in Aspire Zone, stated that Qatar is ready to welcome the world's best 48 youth national teams. He highlighted the world-class facilities and advanced infrastructure in place to deliver a unique hosting experience for both players and fans.
He noted Qatar's history of hosting major events, including the FIFA World Cup, which showcased the country's organizational capabilities and established a lasting legacy. Hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup is seen as an extension of this legacy, reinforcing Qatar's position as a global sports hub.
Fakhroo revealed that the Aspire competition complex is prepared to host the matches, with comprehensive transport and mobility plans finalized. He highlighted that parking facilities with a capacity of 3,900 vehicles have been designated, and the Doha Metro will be the primary mode of transport for fans.
He emphasized that Qatar's modern public transportation network ensures fans experience comfort and easy access from the moment they arrive. The existing road infrastructure and Doha Metro network promise smooth transportation to the tournament venue and to many of the country's attractions.
The expertise acquired from hosting previous tournaments has been utilized to enhance the organization of future sporting events in Qatar, Fakhroo pointed out. He concluded by mentioning that hosting all matches at Aspire Zone for the first time presents a new experience, with a simple opening ceremony scheduled before the Qatar vs. Italy match at Pitch No. 7 in Aspire.
