FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025: Comoros Coach Eyes Redemption Against Saudi Arabia

Comoros: Comoros national football team coach Hamada Jambay expressed confidence in his players' ability to bounce back as they prepare to face Saudi Arabia on Friday at Al Bayt Stadium in the second round of Group B at the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. Jambay emphasized that victory is their only option to revive hopes of reaching the quarterfinals, noting that preparations have focused on strengthening the attacking front.

According to Qatar News Agency, Jambay added that they've moved past the loss to Morocco and worked on fixing defensive errors. Now, their focus is on showing their full potential. He urged his players to stay fully focused against a strong Saudi side, considered one of the tournament favorites.

Jambay also highlighted the importance of the Arab Cup as a key preparatory stage ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, where Comoros will open against host nation Morocco. Comoros player Yannis Kari affirmed the squad's readiness, stressing the must-win nature of the match to stay in contention.

Comoros currently sits at the bottom of Group B after a 3-1 loss to Morocco, while Saudi Arabia holds second place with three points following a 2-1 win over Oman.
