European Union Summons Moscow’s Envoy in Brussels Over Airstrike Incident

Brussels: High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, announced that the regional bloc had summoned Moscow's envoy in Brussels after the EU mission headquarters were damaged in Russian airstrikes on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, early this morning.

According to Qatar News Agency, Kallas stated in a post on the X platform that she had communicated with the mission members and confirmed their determination to continue supporting Ukraine. She emphasized that the EU would not accept any diplomatic mission being targeted by Russian airstrikes.

A Russian airstrike on Kyiv today, the largest since the outbreak of the war in early 2022, resulted in the deaths of at least 14 people, including three children.
