Geneva: European stock indices rose at the start of trading Thursday: European stock indices saw an upward trend as trading commenced.
According to Qatar News Agency, the European Stoxx 600 index opened up by about 0.3 percent after achieving a record high in the previous session. The European technology index experienced a growth of 2.5 percent, marking it as the top performer on the STOXX 600, with artificial intelligence chip stocks spearheading the gains.
The French CAC 40 index saw a slight increase of less than 0.1 percent, starting at 8,337 points. Meanwhile, the British FTSE 100 remained unchanged at 10,181 points, as did the German DAX, which held steady at 25,276 points.
