Doha: The pan-European Stoxx 600 index fell 0.7 percent to close at 609.08 points, with all major exchanges recording losses and regional sectors showing mixed performance.
According to Qatar News Agency, France’s CAC 40 index declined 1.06 percent to 8,066.68 points. Britain’s FTSE 100 index dropped 0.52 percent to 10,154.43 points, while Germany’s DAX index lost 0.20 percent to close at 24,843.54 points.
Dutch semiconductor giant ASML reported orders that exceeded expectations, while its 2026 sales guidance came in above estimates. The company’s stock jumped 5.9 percent at the start of trading, lifting shares of its European peers, but later retreated to close down 1.9 percent.
