Doha: European stock indices closed mixed at the end of Wednesday's trading: The pan-European Stoxx 600 index closed slightly above its opening level.

According to Qatar News Agency, London's FTSE 100 led regional gains, rising 0.9 percent. This came after inflation data released on Wednesday showed the UK's inflation rate fell to 3.2 percent in November, down 3.6 percent from the previous month.

The French CAC 40 index fell 0.25 percent, while Germany's DAX index declined 0.48 percent.
