Doha: European stock indices closed mixed at the end of trading today. The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell 0.05 percent to 550.53 points, its lowest level in a week.

According to Qatar News Agency, the oil and gas index led losses on the STOXX 600, falling 1.2 percent, tracking the decline in oil prices. The basic resources sector also fell 1.2 percent as copper prices hit a one-week low.
