Doha: Estithmar Holding Group, a Qatari public shareholding company, has announced the establishment of its fifth group, "Estithmar Capital." This strategic move aims to strengthen the company's expansion and diversify its operating sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the new group will focus on financial investment management, enhancing institutional governance, and operating within clear frameworks for compliance, regulation, and risk management. This aligns with the company's vision for sustainability and responsible, orderly growth.

The establishment of Estithmar Capital supports Estithmar Holding's broader strategy to diversify financial assets, improve capital efficiency, and standardize governance practices across various markets. Through a centralized and disciplined approach, the group is expected to enhance the performance of investment portfolios, strengthen risk management, and increase transparency levels while maintaining operational efficiency and adhering to international best practices.

Estithmar Holding Chief Executive Officer Juan Leon stated that the creation of Estithmar Capital is a strategic step aimed at developing activities in the banking and financial services sector within an advanced regulatory environment. He emphasized the company's focus on responsible capital management and achieving long-term value, expanding its investment activities in the region based on robust regulatory and supervisory frameworks that support sustainable growth.

Chairman Moutaz Al Khayyat affirmed that this step aligns with the company's vision of identifying investment opportunities across various sectors and markets, contributing to better risk management. This approach has positioned Estithmar Holding at the forefront of Qatari companies both within Qatar and internationally.

Additionally, Estithmar Holding announced the appointment of Fadi Al Faqih as Group Chief Executive Officer of Estithmar Capital, highlighting his extensive experience in the banking and financial investment sector across the Middle East.

Estithmar Holding operates through several groups, including the Healthcare Group, the Services Group, the Tourism and Real Estate Development Group, and the Contracting and Industries Group.
