Cairo:Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres during his visit to Egypt. The discussions focused on regional developments, including the Palestinian cause and the evolving situations in the Horn of Africa, Sudan, and Libya.

According to Qatar News Agency, both leaders emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts through peaceful means and adhering to the principles of international law.

Guterres highlighted that lasting peace in the region is unattainable without a fair resolution of the Palestinian issue. He expressed significant concern over the situation in the West Bank and urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to halt violations against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
