Doha: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed regional developments in two separate phone calls today with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, following the conclusion of US-Iranian negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in a press release that the two calls emphasized the importance of continuing and intensifying efforts to de-escalate tensions and prioritize negotiations, thereby contributing to overcoming the current crisis and preserving regional security and stability.
The officials also agreed to maintain close coordination and consultation in the coming period to intensify joint efforts aimed at achieving calm and supporting stability in the region.
