Egyptian and Iraqi Leaders Discuss Regional Stability and Bilateral Relations

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi discussed with Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Fuad Hussein, the situation in Palestine and Syria, focusing on ways to restore regional stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Presidency released a statement highlighting the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the Arab nation and expressing a complete rejection of the displacement of Palestinians. The meeting also covered the latest regional developments and emphasized the importance of the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad.

During the discussions, President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's commitment to the success of the Arab Summit, emphasizing the need for solidarity among Arab countries in light of current challenges. The leaders also explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in economic, trade, and investment fields.

The Iraqi official extended an invitation from the Iraqi president to President El-Sisi to attend the 34th regular session of the Arab Summit and the 5th session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, scheduled to be held in Baghdad on May 17.
