Doha: Egypt condemned in the strongest terms the launch of the Israeli military operation in Gaza City, considering it a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. It also reflects Israel’s insistence on pursuing a reckless policy that threatens to have extremely negative consequences for the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the entire region.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement Tuesday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned of the catastrophic risks of the Israeli military operations in the region, which is on the cusp of a new phase of total chaos as a result of Israeli recklessness and excessive arrogance. The ministry considered that these operations will inevitably harm the interests of all regional and international parties without exception.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry held international actors responsible for the severe deterioration of the situation and the failure to act to confront the crimes and genocide being committed. It emphasized the need to respect human rights and the rule of law, calling for concrete steps to end the war on the Gaza Strip and save the lives of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, after the Israeli war machine has killed approximately 65,000 Palestinians since the start of the war on Gaza, injured hundreds of thousands, and destroyed the infrastructure.

The ministry also emphasized the serious repercussions of the Israeli military operations on the overall humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, particularly in light of the blockade and famine imposed by Israel on the Palestinian people there. It condemned the displacement and abuse of the Palestinian population in the Strip that accompanies the military operation.
