Doha: Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati discussed Thursday in a phone call with his US counterpart Antony Blinken, the Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal. Abdel Aati stressed the great importance of an immediate implementation of the agreement, stressing the need for all parties to respect the terms of the agreement and work to implement its stages on the specified dates.
According to Qatar News Agency, Abdel Aati also pointed to the importance of intensifying a humanitarian aid delivery to all parts of the Gaza Strip during the coming period, and combining international efforts to rebuild the Strip and rehabilitate its infrastructure and health care systems. For his part, Blinken expressed his country's appreciation for the tireless efforts made to support mediation efforts, which contributed to reaching a ceasefire agreement.
