Doha: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call Friday with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy to discuss ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the two ministers reviewed preparations for an early recovery and reconstruction conference in coordination with the Palestinian government and the United Nations, contingent on a ceasefire.

They also discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
