EGYPT PREPARES TO INSTALL THE CORE OF THE FIRST NUCLEAR REACTOR AT THE DABAA NUCLEAR PLANT ON OCTOBER 6TH

Egypt is preparing to install the core of the first nuclear reactor at the Dabaa nuclear plant on October 6, according to “Russia Today”.

Former deputy head of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority in Egypt, Ali Abdel Nabi, said that the concrete construction work in the Dabaa nuclear project did not stop for one moment, as it is being carried out according to schedule.

Abdel Nabi continued, in statements to RT: “There is no delay in the implementation of the project’s work, as the first concrete pour for three nuclear units has been completed, and it is expected that the first concrete pour for the fourth nuclear unit will be laid during next November.”

He added that the reactor core trap will be installed in its place under the reactor pressure vessel, for the first nuclear unit in the Dabaa nuclear project, during upcoming October celebrations.
