Egypt Calls on EU to Support Its Plan for Early Recovery, Reconstruction of Gaza


Doha: Egypt has expressed its aspiration for the European Union (EU) to support its efforts regarding the comprehensive plan for early recovery and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, with the Palestinians remaining on their land.



According to Qatar News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati discussed in a phone call Wednesday with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, the comprehensive plan in this regard, stressing the existence of Arab and Islamic support for it.



The Egyptian Foreign Minister also informed the European official about his country’s efforts to consolidate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and implement its three stages. The discussions highlighted Egypt’s commitment to facilitating sustainable peace and development in the region, aiming to ensure stability and security for the Palestinian people.
