Egypt: Egypt stressed the necessity of respecting the sovereignty of Kuwait and ensuring the unity and territorial integrity of its lands, while avoiding any encroachment on its maritime borders. In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Egypt) said it is closely following with great concern reports regarding coordinate lists and maps submitted to the United Nations concerning maritime zones between Kuwait and Iraq.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry expressed its full readiness to provide all forms of support to help both countries narrow differences and reach mutually agreed understandings in line with international law and in a manner that strengthens regional security and stability. It emphasized the significance of adhering to international law principles, including the provisions of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The statement also called for prioritizing reason and wisdom, citing the historic relations among Arab countries, especially as the region faces highly sensitive conditions marked by serious challenges and unprecedented escalation, which require solidarity and dialogue to address regional issues.

The ministry expressed confidence in the ability of the two countries to resolve the crisis through mutual understanding, good-neighborly relations, and strong ties between their peoples in a way that preserves their interests and contributes to regional stability.
