Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) organized a vibrant celebration to mark World Children’s Day, an annual event recognized globally on November 20. The celebration featured an exhibition highlighting the innovative works of students, aiming to promote a secure environment where children’s rights are respected and their aspirations fulfilled.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event was graced by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, who was given a detailed tour of the student activities and school participations by the children involved. The event was a collaborative effort spearheaded by MOEHE’s School and Student Affairs Department, in partnership with the Aman Center and the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), along with several primary schools for girls.
The NCSA played a significant role by distributing cultural brochures to the parents of students working at MOEHE and providing models of cybersecurity educational curricula, interact
ive toys, and awareness-raising stories targeted at all school classes. Meanwhile, the Aman Center contributed with additional cultural brochures.
The participating schools made notable contributions by presenting artistic sculptures, awareness-raising paintings, video clips, and interactive toys, all centered around children’s rights. Special emphasis was placed on showcasing expressive paintings that highlighted the rights of Palestinian children, alongside illustrating Qatar’s efforts and achievements in protecting child rights.
World Children’s Day serves to enhance international unity and raise awareness among children globally about their rights and the importance of improving their welfare. This celebration underscores the Ministry’s commitment to fostering social responsibility and supporting initiatives that promote the welfare and protection of children.
