Doha: The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation and HEC Paris, Doha, have entered into a collaboration agreement aimed at advancing educational opportunities and research initiatives. This partnership is a strategic move to strengthen cooperation in higher education, providing expanded opportunities for students, scholars, researchers, and professionals, particularly from conflict-affected regions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by Mohammed Al Kubaisi, Acting CEO of EAA Foundation, and Dr. Pablo Martin de Holan, Dean of HEC Paris, Doha. The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organizations. The collaboration will focus on promoting academic excellence and innovation through various initiatives, including the exchange of professors, scholars, students, and researchers to encourage cross-cultural engagement and knowledge sharing.
The partnership will also involve joint research projects on topics of mutual interest, utilizing the combined expertise of EAA and HEC Paris to generate new insights. Additionally, the two institutions will explore the co-development of continuing professional education courses, executive development programs, and other educational initiatives to address emerging skills needs in various sectors.
A significant aspect of the collaboration is the commitment to expanding access to quality education for underserved communities. The agreement outlines plans to provide scholarship opportunities for talented students from conflict-affected areas to study at HEC Paris. Through EAA’s global network and coordination with the HEC Foundation, these scholarships will enable students to enroll in programs at HEC Paris’s Doha campus or in France.
For instance, students residing at the Al Thumama housing complex in Doha will have the opportunity to attend courses offered in Qatar, while others may pursue the Master’s in Management program in France. By offering world-class education to exceptional students from marginalized backgrounds, the partnership aims to nurture future leaders and change-makers.
Commenting on the agreement, Talal Al Hathal, Director of EAA Foundation’s Al Fakhoora Program, stated that the mission of EAA is to ensure that no aspiring learner is left behind. The collaboration with HEC Paris is seen as a step towards breaking down barriers to education and creating transformative opportunities for youth, enhancing knowledge exchange, and providing pathways for students from conflict-affected communities.
Dr. Pablo Martin de Holan, Dean of HEC Paris, Doha, emphasized that the collaboration reflects a shared belief in the power of education for human progress. By combining HEC Paris’s academic and research capabilities with EAA’s global reach, the partnership aims to generate new knowledge and solutions while equipping students from conflict-affected regions to become effective leaders, thereby contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future.
