Doha: Iraq's Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that a drone had crashed in the Majnoon oil field in Basra province, southern Iraq.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that the drone fell within the Majnoon oil field, located in Al-Deer district in Basra, within the area of responsibility of the Third Battalion. The drone did not explode, and no material damage or casualties were reported.

The statement added that the forces present at the scene notified Basra Operations Command, which in turn dispatched an explosives disposal unit to handle and remove the drone in accordance with standard procedures.
