Doha: Celebrating World Children's Day, the Orphans Care Center (Dreama), in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, has launched an impactful campaign titled "The First Call" at Hamad International Airport. This campaign seeks to promote global solidarity, raise awareness on children's rights, and improve their well-being worldwide. According to Qatar News Agency, "The First Call" campaign aims to mark the beginning of a new journey to support children and uphold their rights, emphasizing the importance of providing opportunities for every child to achieve a brighter future. It focuses on fostering social inclusion for all children, with a special emphasis on orphaned children, to enhance their sense of belonging and empower them to integrate into society. As part of the campaign, an artistic piece titled "Al Bokhnaq" by Qatari artist Fatima Al Shibani was unveiled. This artwork, reflecting Qatari cultural values, symbolizes solidarity with children worldwide. It features a sculptur e of a mother wearing the traditional Bokhnaq, carrying a suitcase, followed by her children, each with their suitcases. The mother represents community members supporting children, while the interactive suitcases convey positive messages from the public, highlighting the importance of children feeling safe and cared for. The "Al Bokhnaq" artwork was prominently displayed at Hamad International Airport, serving as a testament to promoting human values and supporting children's rights. At the event, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communication at Hamad International Airport, Abdulaziz Al Mass, delivered a speech expressing gratitude for this initiative that underscores children's rights. Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport, Hamad Ali Al Khater, expressed honor in collaborating with the Ministry of Social Development and Family and Dreama Center to celebrate World Children's Day. He emphasized the airport's role in raising awareness about children's rights among millions of passe ngers, expressing eagerness to sustain humanitarian partnerships benefiting communities. Traveling children and transit passengers were invited to write special messages for World Children's Day and attach them to the artwork's suitcases, creating a global call for community cooperation in supporting children and advocating for their rights. The campaign also featured an informational booth in the airport's departure area for 48 hours, with an interactive children's corner offering activities like tic-tac-toe and building blocks for motivational phrases. Visitors received activity booklets and water bottles, with opportunities to write solidarity messages for children worldwide. Dreama Executive Director, Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al-Thani, highlighted the campaign's significance, stating that "The First Call" reflects a commitment to supporting children and promoting their rights globally.
