Jerusalem: The Jerusalem Waqf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department has reported that 174 settlers, disguised as Arabs, entered Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate. The settlers were under heavy protection by the Israeli police during their visit.
According to Qatar News Agency, the settlers engaged in tours within the mosque's compound and performed Talmudic rites in the Bab Al-Rahma area. The Department's statement on Tuesday highlighted that Israeli forces imposed strict restrictions on worshipers and Jerusalemites, requiring them to leave their identification documents at the mosque's outer gates.
Additionally, the Israeli occupation forces have initiated a deportation campaign targeting Jerusalemites in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan. The statement further expressed concerns over the intentions of the Israeli occupation to alter the Islamic and Christian identity of Jerusalem and implement plans to divide the mosque based on temporal and spatial patterns.
