Dortmund’s Striker Haller Leaves for Utrecht

Doha: Borussia Dortmund's Ivorian forward Sebastian Haller has left for Dutch side Utrecht on a permanent deal, the German club has announced.

According to Qatar News Agency, the 31-year-old, who was on a season-long loan with Utrecht, has ended a three-year spell with Dortmund, having recovered from cancer. Shortly after joining the club in July 2022 from Ajax Amsterdam, Haller was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He then underwent two surgeries and chemotherapy before returning to action in early 2023.

Haller made 33 Bundesliga appearances and scored nine goals during his time with Dortmund. He had played for Utrecht early in his career between 2015 and 2017.
