Doha: Al Shamal scored their second successive win of the 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League by beating a 10-man Al Rayyan 4-2 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Friday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Rayyan's Mohamed Surag was shown a red card in the 45+3 minute after stepping on the toes of Mohammed Omar from Al Shamal. Despite this, Al Rayyan led 2-1 at halftime.

The match saw a flurry of goals within a short span. Al Shamal began the scoring in the 40th minute when Baghdad Bounedjah set up Mohammed Omar to score from the left. Al Rayyan responded quickly, with Ahmed Alaaeldin heading in a goal in the 42nd minute after a cross from David Garcia. Alaaeldin struck again in the 44th minute, assisted by Gavin Pereira.

After the break, Al Shamal equalized in the 56th minute when a cross from Omar was deflected into the Al Rayyan goal by Gregore. Bounedjah then put Al Shamal ahead with a penalty in the 90+1 minute, following a foul by Roger Guedes on Tamer Seyam. Bounedjah also assisted Omar Ali in the 90+4 minute, who secured the 4-2 victory for Al Shamal.
