Doha: Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres) revealed Thursday that Palestinians in the West Bank are facing forced mass displacement at the hands of the Israeli occupation army and settlers, increasing the risk of ethnic cleansing in the occupied territories.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the organization reported that Israel’s policies of annexing land in the West Bank constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
It confirmed that its teams have witnessed, during this year, policies and practices designed to expel Palestinians from their land and prevent any possibility of return.
The organization concluded that ending the occupation remains the only way to alleviate the suffering faced by Palestinians, calling on countries, including the United States and European Union member states, to exert pressure to stop the practices that harm and displace Palestinians and to ensure the end of the illegal occupation.
It noted that it is witnessing how the suffering caused by the occupation has become more normalized than ever before in the organization’s 36-year history of providing medical and psychological care in Palestine.
Meanwhile, the occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, without retreating from its colonial policy aimed at displacing Palestinians from their land and asserting control over all occupied territories, with no deterrent or adherence to international legitimacy resolutions.
