DGSN/DGST Will Contribute 50 MDH to Special Fund for Managing Earthquake Effects

The General Directorate for National Security and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGSN-DGST) have pledged to contribute 50 million dirhams (5 billion centimes) to the Special Fund for managing the effects of the earthquake that has impacted multiple regions of Morocco.



In a press release, the DGSN-DGST Pole has announced that this financial contribution has been decided by the Director General of the DGSN and DGST, Abdellatif Hammouchi. It is made on behalf of all civil servants within the Pole, demonstrating their solidarity and humanitarian commitment in line with the campaign of solidarity and mutual support initiated by various segments of Moroccan society, as per the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.



The DGSN-DGST Pole has also launched a comprehensive blood donation campaign among its civil servants working in central and regional services. This initiative aims to ensure the availability of vital blood supplies and replenish the national blood inventory.



Furthermore, the security pole has emphasized its readiness to mobilize all its services, human resources, and logistical capabilities to safeguard the safety of citizens and protect their property. This includes deploying mobile groups for maintaining order and canine brigades specialized in search and rescue operations for disaster victims. These efforts are aimed at supporting various national institutions in their rescue and evacuation operations.



Several police units and patrols have been actively engaged in serving the security of the nation and its citizens, demonstrating a spirit of sacrifice, dedication, and altruism in accordance with the High Instructions of His Majesty the King, adds the press release.
