The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) has announced that it will sue a former dentist at the Delegation, who was dismissed in December 2015, for defamation and insult against DGAPR officials. In a clarification in response to the allegations made by a former dentist at the DGAPR in a video posted on a Youtube channel, the Delegation affirmed that the case of the person in question was handled in accordance with the procedures in force and with full respect for the rule of law.
In this context, the DGAPR specified that the dismissal of the person in question was decided on the proposal of the disciplinary Board held on December 29, 2015, due to the administrative offenses she committed, in particular defamation against her direct hierarchy, presentation of false administrative documents, and damage to the institution’s reputation and image with the public.
The person in question also provided statements and data to the media regarding certain penal institutions, without prior authorization from the central administration, given the fact that the same individual has benefited from all the self-defense guarantees laid down by law, including legal assistance, added the same source.
The person in question went to court to contest the decision to dismiss her and presented her pleas, noted the DGAPR, pointing out that “after the completion of all stages of the trial, including the appeal in cassation, a final judgment was handed down on 11/02/2019 rejecting her request, contrary to the allegations and untruths she conveys about an alleged absence of any judgment”.
In affirming its total commitment to respecting the laws in force and its unwavering commitment to abide by judicial decisions, the Delegation affirmed that it will take legal action against the person in question, given the seriousness of the acts of defamation and insult emanating from this person against her managers and the false allegations conveyed around her case, in full complicity with the owner of the said channel, suspected of collaboration with foreign parties and seeking through his statements and defamatory allegations to undermine the institutions of the Kingdom, so as to serve certain agendas.
