The number of the Palestinian detainees who have been arrested in the West Bank following the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to over 8,425, Palestinian Commission of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs reported in a joint statement.
The statement added that the Israeli occupation forces launched arrest campaigns on Sunday and Monday by detaining at least 25 Palestinians, highlighting that the detention campaigns primarily focused on Nablus and Jenin governorates, while the remaining campaigns included Bethlehem, Hebron, Tubas, Qalqilya, and Jerusalem governorates coupled with massive intimidation campaigns, severe beating, threatening the detainees and their families, in addition to large-scale vandalism and destruction of homes.
The Israeli occupation forces keep perpetrating the crime of enforced disappearance against Gaza detainees after 199 days of the aggression and genocide and refused to provide the professional international and Palestinian human rights institutions with the informati
on about their whereabouts and fate, including Gaza detainees who were martyred, the statement reads.
The data relevant to the arrest cases include those who were either forced to remain in the detention centers, or released later, and the occupation keeps carrying out detention campaigns in the Strip followed by unprecedented intimidation and systematic torture with no exception being given to the sick, injured and elderly people.
